About the bags and our work:
Are wooden bags heavy?
It depends on your definition of heavy.
The weight is comparable to any leather bag.
In some cases they are lighter and in other cases heavier.
It depends on the type of the bag, wood which is used for the bag and the size of it.
The lightest bag we made so far was 150g and the heaviest was 1400g.
Anyway, the info about weight is available on the product details.
Are wooden bags safe?
Wooden bags are just like any other bags.
Except there is rigid material involved ie. wood.
But despite that, in our design and production process we avoid sharp corners so they can be used comfortably without a fear of scratching yourself, getting a splinter or any kind of injury:)
Are your bags functional?
Even though we are artists by trade, our intention was never to make something only to be displayed on the shelf.
We would not call our products as bags if they are only decorative in essence.
Depending on the type or size you can hold a lot of stuff in them.
Every clutch is designed and made to hold an average size mobile smartphone and few other small items like credit cards or makeup.
The only exception is our "super small series" that is designed and made to hold only credit card, coins, makeup, condoms, tampons or just keys. Basically everything and nothing every girl needs on a night out, without Phone. Because it's good to be unplugged sometimes.
Larger bags can hold phone, wallet and daily essentials you carry depending on the size.
If you have questions about any particular bag please contact us.
Are wooden bags durable?
They are wearable pieces of art. And they need to be treated in that way.
If you want it to look the best as it can, take care of it.
It is a bag. It is not a vampire or sugar cube. It is not going to be disintegrated by the glance of the sun or water.
Every wooden element for the bags is sanded and coated with a few layers of sanding sealer and transparent gloss varnish.
But that doesn't make them indestructible and by time wood will show signs of wear depending on how you treat them.
We as artists don't consider that as something negative but as a show of a character and appeal over time. Like the leather gets marks or brass /copper gets darker patina.
How to take care of a wooden bag?
Don't throw it on the floor or hard surfaces.
Don't wear it on rainy days or leave it exposed in the summer sun.
Don't cram it between other bags to avoid any transfer of color to wood and it's protective finish.
Don't hit other people with it except in a case of self defense.
For cleaning please only use a damp cloth.
Don't put in in a washing machine , dishwasher or any kind of washer.
What about jewelry ?
Well, everything that has been said about the bags can be applied to jewelry and to our other brands.
After all, all have been made with the same material - wood:)
So don't put it in the dishwasher or use aggressive cleaning solutions and everything is going to be ok.
And please resist the temptation to make metal parts more shiny because that needs to be done with great care or the wood and its finish will suffer.
Are you making anything beside the bags and jewelry ?
Of course we do. We occasionally like to experiment with making different things out of wood to get out of the monotony, even though over time the handbag has chosen itself as a medium of creative expression. It all started with the bags and then we expanded to jewelry because we wanted to give our customers something they can wear along the bags ...something that follows the same philosophy as the bags. Love for fashion, design and diversity of nature. And then we thought about the man and how they deserve some luxury gifts from their wives so we expanded our creativity.
How are your items made?
They are mind made.
They are handmade.
They are machine made.
Nature has given us so much versatility.
When you look at the wood there are so many species each of which has its own interesting colors and rings, and humans have very similar things when it comes to work. Versatility and diversity. Human species has developed things from manual labor to machine work, and each has its own place and requires certain knowledge and skills.
We use whatever crafting method a project requires and mostly combine manual work with tools and machines.
Tools and machines we use are a way to use our time, energy and creativity smarter.
Although it can be argued that tools are a way for mass production, we do not perceive it that way, but as a means of realizing more complicated creative ideas. Because everything you see on this pages is not a mass produced item. There is no magical machine where someone is pressing buttons and our items are popping out in some bucket.
What type of wood do you use?
We use all types of wood.
Except pine or similar vanilla wood. We like hardwood and exotic species like Wenge, Zebrano, Garapa, Padouk, Mukulungu, Cumaru, Ipe, Iroko, Okoume , Tambootie, Teak, Walnut, Maple, Ash, Oak, Poplar, Black Poplar, Mahogany, American walnut, American Cherry.
And we NEVER color or dye any wood to make it look / fake it to look like another species of wood. Everything that can be seen on our page are items with the natural color of wood in its glory. We are not against color. We are against painting wood without a good reason because we consider that cheap and lazy way to make something that "pops out". There are a lot of ways to add color to bags or jewelry without paint...and there are a lot a ways for paint to add to design. Painting whole wooden item so the wood grain is invisible and calling it a "wooden jewelry" or a bag is not one of them. What is the point of that? It can be made from plastic that way. Wood grain is amazing and wood colors are amazing. People should enjoy it.
Do you make custom orders?
*If "custom order" for you means creating/developing something new from your idea. We don't do that. We always have a lot of ideas to materialize and too little time.
But, you can always contact us and ask because sometimes we can make an exception depending on the time we have.
*If "custom order" for you means you like some type of bag or jewelry but with another type of wood or with a combination of another fabric...sometimes we can do that for extra charge so please feel free to ask.
Do you offer customization of your creations?
Yes and no. It depends on the item and if it's finished or not.
Most of our creations are made in a way so it cant be modified when it is finished.
For example, bags can't be disassembled to change the type of fabric and the wood can't be engraved as we like durability so we use lacquer. But in some cases we can engrave on the fabric so even if the shop doesn't offer customization of a particular item , you can always ask us.
So...
*when it comes to bags, the only customization work we offer at this moment are "Bamboo Style" bags that we make only by order.
*when it comes to jewelry, sometimes we can offer engraving at extra charge if the item is oiled even though we don't offer it by form in a listing. If it's lacquer in question , we can't engrave anything but if we don't have an item in stock, we can offer you that so feel free to ask.
I see something i really like but it says it is out of stock?
Please feel free to ask us about it. Most of the items we made is one of a kind item when you consider wood grain or combination with some other material. But depending on the item or our time, maybe we can make something for you.
I see something i would love to have it with some type of wood you don't offer in a listing.
Please feel free to ask us about it. Most of the items we made is one of a kind item when you consider wood grain or combination with some other material. But depending on the item or our time, maybe we can make something for you. We are aware of the fact that all women have different tastes and even though we offer a lot of combinations , we can't make every combination or something to satisfy every need and taste. That is exactly the reason we offer modular concepts in some of our creations. But still we like when our customers have imagination to visualize some combo what we don't offer so please feel free to ask us about it.
How much time do you need for customization of a "bamboo style" bag?
We offer custom engraving on wood and selection from available fabric so it doesn't take longer than to make it without the customization. It takes up to 2 weeks to make it and be sure "lacquer is dry" and it is ready to use.
How much time do you need for customization of certain types of jewelry?
It depends on the jewelry item. But the worst case is one week.
Do you have seasonal sales?
No, we don't but you can always check if our outlet section is active.
Why it cost that much....can you offer lower prices?
We are a team of two. Husband and wife.
And the male part of our team is a person with a disability. We do everything ourselves from start to finish.
There is no other company involved. Everything we do is made on "piece by piece basis" or small series up to 10 pieces because nature gave us many species of wood and it is hard to resist the temptation to see how it looks with another species of wood.
We don't do the "fast and furious" approach like mass produced laser cut paper thin plywood with charred edges or/and glued plexy letters to it while talking about hard work and creativity world has not seen in last 300 hundred years. Nothing you see depends on only one type of production, machine or "talent" what can be seen on many "handmade" stuff whose only purpose of existence is to take money from tourists or those people who love wooden trinkets from local market.
We are fueled by our desire to make but still, this is a business. And we are not in the business of painting Chinese mass produced wooden pieces from the nearest craft store or pressing fimo / pouring epoxy with leaves or wax in Aliexpress silicone moulds. Wood is not easy to form when you have designed shape. This is not a hobby for which you need only a table in a corner of some room and some tools, preferably next to a window so you can make an interesting IG stories while you work. :) We have workshop space to pay, lights, tools, taxes, our time and so on.
We love wood and we like to give it justice by making luxury level items from it. That means leaving out chip outs, markings during crafting, sanding marks, burnings and so on...Long story short, we will not serve our customers wood or even metal with scratches and call it "artistic expression" or "proof of human touch". We won't do that not because we use tools, but because we have standards of our work and like our customers to have flawless items. It takes time to care for every detail so we can be proud of giving our best to our customers. So please give us the same respect we give to our work and our customers and don't ask us for a discount.
Collaborations for promotion?
We don't do collaborations but we maybe won't reject you if you are Lady Gaga. :)
Creator collaborations?
We don't play well with others. :)
Business collaborations?
If you like our work and want to sell it in your boutique, shop or a gallery, feel free to contact us.
Where I can go to see and buy your creations?
Currently you can buy our items only on our web shop.
We like all artists have similar reasons we do what we do. Primary reason is to create and bring to existence something beautiful from our ideas. And we do that even if it means is not going to be for everyone...even it is going to stay on the shelf for a year until it brings joy to someone. As we made it all and spent our time and energy to give it our best, we will care for it like it is made yesterday. That is the reason why the classic collection of bags comes with pouches and why they come with plastic foil over the wood. We care for the items we produce because we want women to get those items in pristine conditions.
As for the shops, besides the fact that our work is mostly made by order without item numbers required to have something in every shop because that would negate the meaning of making something special...
From our experience the only reason that stores do what they do is profit. They are called concept shops but in most cases they are just a souvenir shops. The only "concept" that brings it together is money. To a lot of them it doesn't matter what they sell. Items, quality, or talking to customers what is special about the item they are looking at, is secondary if not no existent. Only thing that matters to them is to sell. That is their religion. And if we can't get adequate representation and care for our work and items we made we don't want to participate in that story.
So in the time being, there are multitude of quality photos for every item we create so that our customers on web shop can explore every detail of the item they are interested in and we are always available to answer questions you may have about anything.
What's the meaning of "brand" name?
Well, it depends on our brand even though the vibe is similar with all. We like wordplay. So "Wood you be my bag?" is created as wordplay and there is something similar in Woomamani and Woodoar . Woodboleta took its basis on the Spanish word "boleta" which means "ticket" and in this case ticket to the amazing world of wood , nature's diversity and interesting designs.

How much time do you need to ship my order?
All bags you see in our shop are available and ready to ship.
We usually ship in 2 or 3 days after the payment.

At this moment we only ship in EU countries ...
Shipping outside of the EU is complicated because of customs, taxes, longer delivery times and larger shipping prices.
If you are ok with that you can always contact us but we can't be held responsible for any additional custom fees or any of the above.
What service do you use for shipping?
We use EMS postal service and in some cases currier service like DPD or GLS depending on location.

If you didn’t receive it or the shipment takes 2 weeks contact us and we will make inquires.
